A project to underground utilities in parts of Kensington is scheduled to begin this year. Wires for electrical, telephone, cable TV and Internet will be removed and put in trenches in the streets and alleys. New wiring for street lights will be installed. Electrical transformers, switch boxes and other equipment will be installed in rights of way and easements. The location of these facilities is important to the aesthetics of the community.
